Your Care & What to Expect

At Seeds of Change Massage, our goal is to help you move, feel, and live better. Massage is a safe and effective way to improve relieve pain and stress and increase mobility. However, as with any treatment, there are some things to keep in mind:

  • You may experience temporary soreness or discomfort after a session—this is a normal response as your body adapts.

  • In rare cases, symptoms may temporarily worsen before improving.

  • We tailor every treatment plan to your unique needs and will work with you to minimize risks while maximizing your progress.

If you ever have concerns or questions about your treatment, please don’t hesitate to ask. Your comfort and confidence in your care are our top priorities.

Bookings

The total time of a treatment includes undressing, dressing, consultation and treatment. Please arrive at least five minutes before your scheduled booking time. If you arrive late for your booked treatment, the treatment time will nonetheless end at the allotted time to allow for the smooth running of other bookings

Cancellations

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the slot to another client in need.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full appointment fee.

  • If an emergency or exceptional circumstance arises, please reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate a reschedule or transfer your session credit to a future appointment.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late for your appointment we cannot provide an extension to your scheduled appointment time. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. The original scheduled service fee will be charged in full for late arrivals.

Health Conditions & Pregnancy

  • All health conditions and any medication must be disclosed during the intake and consultation process.

  • Seeds of Change Massage only offer prenatal treatments to those in their second or third trimester. There is no time-frame for postnatal treatments. Those clients in their first trimester should not book a treatment during that time. If a treatment is booked for a client in their first trimester, the treatment will be cancelled and the deposit refunded. 

Etiquette

  • Seeds of Change Massage reserves the right to refuse treatment to any client who is physically or verbally abusive - including but not limited to any inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour. 

  • Seeds of Change Massage also reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who is intoxicated or believed to be under the influence of non-medicated drugs. 

Insurance

  • Seeds of Change Massage are insured for the services and treatments provided to our clients.

All clinical records are stored securely in compliance with GDPR and healthcare regulations.
Data may be stored electronically on secure platforms and/or in paper format in locked storage.

We have a legal obligation to retain your records for 7 years after your most recent appointment (or age 25, if this is longer), but after this period you can ask us to delete your records if you wish. Otherwise, we will retain your records indefinitely in order that we can provide you with the best possible care should you need to see us at some future date.

Sharing Your Information

We will never sell your personal information.
We may share your data:

  • With other healthcare providers, but only with your consent

  • When required by law (for example, for safeguarding purposes)
